THE SOCIETÁ AGRICOLA FAY was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay who, starting from a small family-run wine producing business, decided to expand the estate’s activities; since 1998, Sandro has been flanked by his children Marco and Elena. The business area is 15 hectares.
Valtellina is the biggest mountain vineyard terraced area in Italy. The native grape variety grown here is Nebbiolo, locally called Chiavennasca. The vines are grown at an altitude between 350 and 900 metres.
