Barbera, Italy's jewel, is known for its versatility. It pairs splendidly with a variety of dishes, making it a perfect companion for hearty Italian cuisine or a simple, cozy evening by the fire. Limited production (7000 bottles only) from the Northern Italy, province of Pavia.
Grape variety: Barbera
Vinification: wine produced from Barbera grapes only. The grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes once they are perfectly ripe. The must soaks with the skins for about 15-20 days at a controlled temperature of 27-29°C. The wine ages in barriques for 12 months.
Tasting notes: deep ruby red colour. Fresh, fruity and persistent nose. Smooth and medium-bodied on palate, with notes of red fruits, cherry, blackberry and spices.
Food pairing: Goes well with grilled meat in stews
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
