Ancient wine from Roman Empire! This wine fully represents its territory with an intense and bright ruby red colour. It’s a red that’s ready to drink but it can also benefit from some ageing. Cesanese probably was the red wine of ancient Rome because the grape is quite old and existed in the region during pre-Roman times. It was rediscovered recently.

Grape variety: 30% Cesanese, 70% Sangiovese

Vinification: Red method, long fermentation on the skins, various pump overs during fermentation, cold devatting, fermentation in stainless steel vats and then stored in steel vessels Refining 3 months in bottles.

Tasting notes: The olfactory profile is elegant and fine, with aromas of red fruits, Marasca cherry and small dark berries. Harmonious and well-balanced, on the palate it is medium-bodied, with a subtle tannin texture and soft and fruity aromas, leading to a pleasantly fresh finish and good gustatory persistence.

Food pairing: cheeses, meats and stews

Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C
