Tenuta di Biserno is located in the Northern Maremma region of Tuscany, in Bibbona, where produces wines as a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot in Bordeaux style.  the second wine “Il Pino di Biserno” is the second wine, where density and balance are always present. This wine can be enjoyed young, with its dense, bright fruit but also some years later with more soft tannins.

Grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot

Vinification: fermentation of 3-4 weeks in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C. Subsequent aging for 12 months in new French barriques and two-year barriques.

Tasting notes: dark purple red with violet hues. Robust and fruity on the nose. Deep dark fruit notes, cassis, cedar, mocha, violets, menthol, some leather, bacon and tobacco. Mouth-filling and fleshy on the palate with a very complex variety of aromas. Wonderfully rich but fine-grained tannins and perfectly integrated acidity provide the necessary structure. Long, intense and creamy finish.

Food pairing: serve with game, grilled meat, balsamic cream and eggplant soufflé.

Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.

Awards: Falstaff 95/100, Robert Parker 94/100, Wine Spectator 94/100, James Suckling 95/100
