White wine made from catarratto grapes grown in the Etna district, where the soil is predominantly volcanic, rich in minerals and skeleton. Harvesting takes place at different times: grapes picked in boxes, bunch by bunch, are immediately destemmed and placed in the press. Ciuri di Strata is a wine that delights and surprises, reflecting the authenticity and richness of the Sicilian terroir.

Grape variety: Catarratto

Vinification: The must is decanted for 24 hours, then it is fermented in steel tanks with temperatures of 16-17°C for about a week and then undergoes malolactic fermentation. After this the wine ages about 4 months on the noble yeasts.

Tasting notes: elegant straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers an aromatic complexity characterized by intense floral notes and tropical fruits, with a bouquet that ranges from sweet lemon to peach and pineapple, at times with a quality similar to banana and honey. On the palate, the wine reveals itself fresh, crisp and clean, with a light to medium structure and a high acidity that perfectly balances the palate. The flavors of green apple, lime zest and citrus intertwine with a subtle minerality, offering a refreshing and lively experience. The finish, despite being long, has a light bitter note that invites a new taste.

Food pairing: pairs well with fresh cheeses, white meat, shellfish.

Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.

Serving temperature: 10-12°C

Awards: James Suckling 90/100
