Very elegant and full-bodied red wine from Etna DOC denomination, produced from Nerello Mascalese grapes. Limited edition: only 1400 bottles produced every year. 

Grape variety: Nerello Mascalese

Vinification: Manuel harvest. The crushed grapes are collected in stainless steel tanks where fermentation takes place in the presence of the pomace at a temperature of 26-28°C. Once alcoholic fermentation is finished, the wine remains in the presence of the marc for another week before racking. The wine is then put into chestnut wooden barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place. In the barriques the wine remains for 12 months ageing on the noble lees. After another year of ageing in steel vessels, the wine is refined in bottle for 12 months. 

Tasting notes: Intense ruby red colour. Intense nose with notes of red berries, cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa. On the palate it is fresh, savoury and with crisp tannin.
